Power

rCube can be powered by an AC adapter (included) or a 9v "transistor" battery. rCube switches instantly to battery power if AC power fails. When running on battery power, rCube automatically enters a low-power mode when it is idle.

All rCubes have a built-in smart battery charger which constantly works to maintain your battery at full charge without overcharging.

The advanced charging algorithm supports nickel-cadmium (NiCd), nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) and lithium-ion (LiIon) batteries.

Charing cycle active
rCube indicates an active charging cycle by alternately flashing the ":" elements on the LED display as shown at left.

The charger can be switched off when alkaline or other non-rechargeable batteries are used.
